Play Facilities (including Skate Parks)

  • Grants will be available to assist Parish Councils and voluntary organisations provide play facilities within their local communities. This can include play areas, teenage zones, skateboard facilities and similar, both new build and refurbishment
  • The need for the facility must have been identified within the District Council's Play Audit and Strategy in order to be eligible. This strategy has identified gaps in provision across the District towards which grant aid needs to be focused. In addition we would expect to see evidence that young people have been consulted and have participated in the design of the proposed play facility.
