Hot Weather Advice

A level 3 hot weather alert has been declared by the Met Office until the morning of Monday 26th August. This means that it’s forecasted to be exceptionally hot and sunny over the coming days in the district with a 90% probability in parts of Cambridgeshire and Peterborough, of temperatures being high enough on at least two consecutive days to have significant effects on health.

We’re asking for people to take due care in these conditions and look out for people who may be at risk. Visit Cambridgeshire County Council’s website for advice and what you can do to support people in your community.

Tips on coping in hot weather can also be found on the NHS website.

For those who are concerned about dogs left in cars during hot weather please call the police on 999.

Updates from the Met Office can be found on their twitter or their website.
